While searching for cannabis listings for the directory, I was horrified at how often I came across ads for fake bud. Pot smokers do not want fake bud, they want real bud! This fake garbage wraps itself in pot-sounding names, and is pictured as looking kind of similar to real bud. It claims to offer a legal high.

Fake bud is dangerous. While real bud has a history of safe use that goes back thousands of years, fake bud does not. Fake buds are various mixes of other plants, and they often don't even tell you in their ads what the ingredients are. I seriously doubt safety tests have been done on fake bud, especially on the blends unique to each company where the plants might interact when mixed with each other.

If you are looking for a real bud high, fake bud won't give that to you, so don't buy fake 'legal' 'herbal' bud. Also watch out for fake hash, often advertised as 'solids'. The only places that really do have legal real bud and hash are in live visits to Compassion Clubs and Amsterdam Coffeeshops.

I figure that there are 3 main reasons why pot websites allow themselves to be tarnished with fake bud:
-Some shops that sell toking accessories may want to display the fake legal stuff to cover their ass. They can claim that they have nothing to do with pot - just legal herbs.
‚-Affilliate programs. Many fake bud sellers have programs that offer websites money for referrals.
ƒ-Sometimes the ads appear in automated ad systems, which are not under the webmaster's control..

I won't put up any fake bud ads on the AlphaPot site. Fake bud has nothing whatsoever to do with the real Cannabis plant. However, many of the sites I list on the directory do have fake bud ads. Just ignore them.
